Slow Impact 2025

My name is Christian and I am a photographer from Phoenix, Arizona.
I grew up fascinated with skateboarding and the excitement and community that comes with it. Being young and seeing photos in skate mags, I was always amazed at what those skaters were able to accomplish but sometimes even more so the art of catching them in action.
This event was a great opportunity to capture the community coming together to celebrate skateboarding and each other. I am fortunate enough to know so many great people that are at these sort of events like the ones put together by the people at Slow Impact. These photos are just some that I was able to capture at the final skate jam at the Wedge on Sunday. So many skaters just throwing it down as hard as they can, it was so much fun being in and around the action trying to capture what I can, while keeping in mind I was limited on film. I really had to try and pic my moments carefully.
There’s no one right way to do something, and that is especially true in both photography and skateboarding.
